LEIGH STATIONERS' ACADEMY

Leigh Stationers' Academy  (formerly known as Stationers' Crown Woods Academy) opened in September 2014 when Crown Woods College became an academy and joined Leigh Academies Trust. On 29th August 2024, the academy was renamed the Leigh Stationers' Academy (LSA).

LEIGH Stationers' Academy (lsa)

Support of the Stationers' Academy is the Company's most significant charitable activity since the opening of the first Stationers' Company's school in Fleet Street in 1861. Completely rebuilt in May 2011 and based on the principles of 'human scale education', LSA consists of five 'home' schools, recently renamed by the pupils inspired by visits to Stationers' Hall: Angelou College, Caxton College, Equiano College, Hansard College and Woolf College.

The academy is one the first schools in the UK to specialise in digital media and will produce generations of school leavers with an understanding of, and an interest in, the Communications and Content industries. It is in the process of integrating the latest digital technology into the curriculum making use of the Digital Media Centre funded by the Company and by Leigh Academies Trust.

The Academy's regular newsletter can be read here.
